Reflecting on 2018

2018 was certainly a rollercoaster of a year for SERES and our community of young leaders. It is with deep gratitude we look back on the tireless energy and dedication of our team and supporters, who have made so much possible for the youth of Guatemala and El Salvador. Despite the unexpected tragedy of Fuego's eruption on June 3rd, we were still able to provide support, mentoring and training to 435 young leaders, 322 of whom are new to SERES this year! We also had young leaders attending international events in Brazil, Copenhagen and Paris and helping bring marginalized voices into a dialogue about their future.

In addition throughout the Fuego emergency your support helped us to mobilized over $100,000 in funding and in-kind donations which was used in the emergency and post-disaster relief efforts. Our commitment to the survivors remains strong, and next year we will be launching three new projects as part of our work to help those impacted by Fuego's eruption to build Pathways to Resilience.
